The College of Architecture and Construction Management’s Demonstration Lab functions as a space for students to get firsthand experiences testing and evaluating various construction components and equipment. Students can see and feel components of an air conditioning unit, helping them understand how temperature fluctuates as gas passes through the elements. There are industry-built units that allow students to visualize plumbing fixtures that would otherwise be hidden behind drywall. Additionally, faculty and students conduct hands-on research and experiment in structural analysis and environmental controls. Seating 24 students, this lab exposes students to the tools and equipment of the trade including air quality, electrical, lighting, and acoustic testing equipment.
