Adapt Courses for Different Modalities

Multimodal course facilitation is guided by the concept of sustainable course design. The course is initially designed for asynchronous online delivery within the learning management system (LMS), including all necessary content, activities, and assessments. This forms the core multimodal foundation. Once a course is designed for asynchronous online delivery, faculty can then selectively hide or release certain components to adapt the course for different modalities like face-to-face, hybrid, flipped, or synchronous online. This "multimodal delivery" approach allows the same core course design to be used across various teaching formats by simply showing or hiding relevant materials. This multimodal approach, enabled by sustainable course design and uHoo Analytics, allows faculty to facilitate the same course effectively across different modalities while catering to diverse learning preferences. The real-time data empowers them to make evidence-based adjustments throughout the semester.

The set of resources below is designed to support faculty by providing options which consider desired time commitment and depth of knowledge.
