What is the total cost for completing the program?
The MSHMI program tuition is $28,216 for residents of Georgia and $48,096 for out-of-state residents. The cohort program requires 36 credit hours of courses in a cohort program that spans six semesters (2 courses each semester) in 2 years. The student will also be responsible for the KSU mandatory fees and the online course fees -- these will average out to approximately $1,350 per semester. Please note that the fees are determined by the Board of Regents are subject to change every academic year.
The Program tuition includes the required textbooks, a two calendar year student membership to the AMIA (American Medical Informatics Association), the registration fee to attend one AMIA conference where students can interact with other professionals in the field, attend workshops, present research reports, and network, and registration fee to attend the Health IT Leadership Summit in Atlanta.

How many courses will I need to complete for the MSHMI degree?
There are twelve 3-credit-hour courses in the program for a total of 36 credit hours - 11 courses are required and 1 course is an elective. -
What kind of job am I qualified for when I graduate?
The KSU MSHMI in the Coles College of Business provides a solid foundation for you to serve in diverse roles as leaders and healthcare executives; chief medical informatics officer (CMIO); chief information officer (CIO), project managers; VP of IT; developers; analysts; and informatics in the healthcare industry. -
Is this program offered on-line?
The KSU MSHMI is delivered though a combination of on-line and in-class courses that meet at the KSU campus in ÈâÈ⴫ý. Five of the semesters are delivered via one on-line course and one on-campus course. Two semesters are delivered via two on-line courses. -
What are the requirements for Admission?
To apply to the KSU MSHMI in the Coles College of Business, the student must submit an application, all previous college transcripts, and an application letter. Recommendation letters, a GMAT or GRE score are optional. To learn more about the application process, contact Sweta Sneha.

Are there any additional requirements for international students?
International students have additional requirements which are outlined in the "Graduate Admission" section of the catalog and on the Graduate Admission's website. All international students are required to submit official TOEFL or IELTS scores and have the them sent directly to KSU. -
Are there any Graduate Research Assistantships available for MSHMI students?
Yes. There are a limited number of Graduate Research Assistantships (GRA) available. GRAs provide a partial tuition waiver and a stipend up to $5,000 per semester. Students work with a faculty on a research project. To learn more about the GRA application process, contact Sweta Sneha.
