An academic advisor is a student's guide to success at ÈâÈ⴫ý. The advisement process allows a student to create a relationship with an advisor who can assist with planning a educational career, learning the skills needed for academic success, and connecting the student to a variety of campus resources and services.

Academic advising is a collaborative process between student and advisor. The student's relationship with an advisor is a two-way street by which both have defined responsibilities for ensuring a successful partnership.
