The KSU fraternity & sorority community comprises 34 chapters across 4 councils, including 14 culturally based organizations.
The KSU fraternal community provides each member leadership and educational opportunities to develop transferable skills to aid their growth personally and professionally. Our members strive for academic excellence, possessing higher grade point averages than their non-affiliated peers.
Through a rich history and a shared commitment to ÈâÈ⴫ý State and the surrounding
community, our members work effortlessly to promote scholarship, service, brother/sisterhood,
and civic engagement.
The Department of Fraternity & Sorority Life is committed to enriching students’ collegiate experience and fostering a community of values-based organizations through a commitment to brotherhood/sisterhood, leadership, scholarship/academic excellence, and service. For over 40 years, fraternities and sororities at KSU have had a proud tradition of academic excellence, service to the community, and playing a significant role in the lives of hundreds of students and alumni.
Today, our community is comprised of 34 fraternities and sororities across four councils, including 14 culturally based organizations. There are 1,800+ members who make every organization unique and vital to our vibrant community. Though the mission and values may vary, each chapter has a rich history of promoting scholarship, service, leadership, and community.
How to Join
Fraternity and Sorority recruitment and membership-intake events, activities, and informational sessions occur at various times during the year.
The Department of Fraternity and Sorority Life has a 2.5 minimum GPA requirement for Aspirants/ Potential New Members (PNMs). Specific chapters may require a higher GPA.

College Panhellenic Council
The KSU College Panhellenic Council (CPC) serves as the governing body over seven Panhellenic sororities: Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Xi Delta, Delta Phi Epsilon, Gamma Phi Beta, Kappa Delta, Phi Mu, and Zeta Tau Alpha.
The College Panhellenic Council hosts formal recruitment every Fall semester. The formal recruitment process is a mutually selective process - potential members and active members are seeking to find their best fit by getting to know one another during each round of recruitment.
Interested in joining a sorority? This Fall, formal recruitment will be held August 4-10th. Registration is now open! The registration fee for all students, incoming and currently enrolled, is $100.

The Interfraternity Council (IFC) serves as the governing body of the fouteen men's social fraternities at ÈâÈ⴫ý. For more than 150 years, fraternities have excelled in academics, leadership, athletics, and service. Here at KSU, our IFC community has perpetuated that legacy through emphasizing scholastic achievement, leadership development, service to the community, and brotherhood.
The Interfraternity Council organizes structured recruitment at the beginning of the Fall semester and holds informal recruitment in the Spring. This process provides an opportunity for men interested in joining a fraternity to meet and learn about each chapter.
Interested in joining a fraternity? Registration will open June 1st. The registration fee is $30. Recruitment will take place throughout the Summer into the Fall.

The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) at ÈâÈ⴫ý State upholds the ideals of these organizations, which include, inclusion, diversity, and acceptance of things outside the norm. The council consists of organizations that are part of diverse backgrounds and heritages. The purpose of MGC is to promote and foster positive interfraternal relations, communication, and development of all multicultural organizations through mutual respect, leadership, honesty, professionalism and education.
The Multicultural Greek Council utilizes the Membership Intake Process or Recruitment week for interested students to gain membership into an organization. Since 2012, MGC organizations have hosted "Meet MGC" an annual event where potential new members can learn about the council and the chapters.
Each of the organizations will also host interest meetings throughout the year.

The National Pan-Hellenic Council, Incorporated (NPHC) is currently composed of Seven (7) International Greek letter Sororities and Fraternities: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.,
The National Pan-Hellenic Council utilizes the Membership Intake Process (MIP) for interested students to gain membership into an organization. Intake is the term NPHC organizations use to bring new members into an organization.
In order to participate in intake at ÈâÈ⴫ý State a student must attend NPHC Convocation, which takes place each Fall and Spring semester. This is an event for interested students to meet the organizations and learn more information about the intake process. Registration for the next NPHC Convocation will open August 15th. The registration will be on the NPHC Owl Life Page below.
Additionally, organizations host interest meetings throughout the year.
In order to participate in the intake process, an interested student must have attended an accredited college of university for at least one semester and be enrolled in a minimum of twelve credit hours the semester they plan to go through intake with a 2.5 cumulative GPA.

The Omicron Phi Chapter at ÈâÈ⴫ý was chartered April 1, 1996. Order of Omega is a national leadership honor society made of the top 3% of community members who demonstrate scholarships, leadership, and service.  
The Purpose of Order of Omega is: 
The purpose of the Fraternity and Sorority Life Ambassador Program is to unite the four Fraternity & Sorority Councils and the organizations within each council and to increase visibility and involvement within the fraternal and KSU community.
This team of students represents the entire KSU Fraternity and Sorority Life community
through participation and planning of Admissions events, new student orientation,
FSL-sponsored events (WOW Palooza, Greek weekend, Yard Show, etc.), and other leadership
programming.
Every semester Fraternity and Sorority Life produces a community-wide academic report with the overall academic performance of each recognized chapter. The academic report includes comparison data for the KSU campus at large.
