University Charges
Students are responsible for paying all university bills and must adhere to published
payment deadlines as listed on the Academic Calendar.
All students must submit a Request for Certification form each semester before they can be certified for their benefits.
Ch. 30/Ch. 1606/Ch. 35:
Students using Ch. 30 MGIB-AD, Ch. 1606 MGIB-SR, and Ch. 35 DEA are responsible for
paying all tuition and fees prior to the published payment deadline. Under these chapters,
the VA does not pay any money to the school but instead sends a monthly stipend directly
to the student.
Ch. 33 Post 9/11:
Students using Ch. 33 Post 9/11 who have submitted a valid Request for Certification
form for the semester, receive 100% of the benefit, and have an in-state status will
have their tuition and mandatory student fees covered by the VA for all classes that
meet degree requirements. Students must pay any balance not covered by the VA (housing
on campus, meal plans, book charges, parking permits, etc.) by the payment deadline.
Any Ch. 33 student with an out-of-state* status, receiving less than 100% of the Post
9/11 benefit, or with insufficient benefit time to cover the full semester, will be
responsible for any charges not covered by their VA benefit and must pay by the payment
deadline. *Students should contact the Tuition Classification team to complete documents
for a waiver of the out-of-state portion of the tuition.
If the Request for Certification is not on file, the Ch. 33 Post 9/11 student must
pay full tuition and mandatory student fees by the payment deadline.
Ch. 31 VR&E:
Students using Ch. 31 VR&E must verify through their Ch. 31 VR&E Counselor that their authorization to charge the university (for tuition/fees/books, and/or supplies) has been uploaded for the School Certifying Official. Ch. 31 students must also submit the Request for Certification form for their benefit to be applied to their student account. Students must pay any balance not covered by the VA (meal plans, dining dollars, unauthorized bookstore charges, etc.) by the payment deadline.
Any Ch. 31 VR&E student with an out-of-state* status will be responsible for any charges
not covered by their VA benefit and must pay by the payment deadline. *Students should
contact the Tuition Classification team to complete documents for a waiver of the
out-of-state portion of the tuition.
If the Request for Certification is not on file, or if the school has not received
a valid authorization, the Ch. 31 VR&E student must pay full tuition and mandatory
student fees by the payment deadline.
