And at the end of the night, when Goslow鈥檚 second-place, $100,000 finish was revealed, he let the crowd of family, friends and fellow Owls know how much their support meant over his weeks on the show.

鈥淣ow, one of you can compete and finish what I started,鈥 he told the students. 鈥淚 got to be part of something bigger than myself, both with my fellow contestants and my fellow Owls. I know I played as well as I could and had a great time doing it, and that鈥檚 what I鈥檓 most proud of.鈥

KSU Interim President Kathy Schwaig said it had been a thrill to watch an Owl dominate the early rounds of the competition and make it as far as second place in the final.

鈥淲e鈥檙e always so proud of our students and what they bring to the table, and Raymond certainly delivered,鈥 Schwaig said. 鈥淗is enthusiasm, his passion, his hard work, his discipline, just his authentic self that he brought to the competition 鈥 we could not be more proud of him for the way he represented KSU on a national stage.鈥
