ÈâÈ⴫ý State holds admissions events, sets application deadlines

Open Houses are Feb. 23 on ÈâÈ⴫ý Campus and March 2 on Marietta Campus

ÈâÈ⴫ý has announced Open House dates for prospective students and their families, along with application deadlines for enrollment and financial aid requests. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions also has special events planned for Honors College prospects, as well as transfer and adult learner students.

ÈâÈ⴫ý Campus Open House

Feb. 23, 9 a.m.

The ÈâÈ⴫ý Campus Open House will offer prospective students interested in majors such as Art, Business, Education, Health Services and Social Sciences the opportunity to meet with professors in these subjects and learn more about the innovative, hands-on programs available at KSU.

Marietta Campus Open House

March 2, 9 a.m.

The Marietta Campus Open House will offer prospective students interested in majors such as Architecture, Computing, Engineering, Mathematics and Physics the opportunity to meet with professors in these subjects and learn more about the innovative, hands-on programs available at KSU.

A Day with Honors

Feb. 15, 1:30 p.m.

Prospective students interested in the Honors College at ÈâÈ⴫ý will learn about the benefits of being an Honors student, receive Honors scholarship information and have an opportunity to ask questions of Honors College and Admissions staff during A Day with Honors on Friday, Feb. 15. Additional dates include: March 8, March 22 and April 26. All sessions begin at 1:30 p.m. A Day with Honors also includes a campus tour guided by a current Honors student.

Transfer and Adult Learner Students

Feb. 15, 11 a.m.

are invited to attend an information session on the ÈâÈ⴫ý campus on Friday, Feb. 15, at 11 a.m. The program will include information regarding admission requirements, transfer credit evaluations, and student life. Transfer students who have earned 30 or more credit hours from an accredited college or university, and adult learners who graduated from high school more than five years ago or have earned less than 30 hours of transferable college credit may attend.

Financial Aid (FASFA) priority deadline

March 1

The priority deadline is March 1 to complete the 2019-2020 (FAFSA) for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Scholarships deadline

March 15

The deadline for most need- and academic-based is March 15. Letters of recommendation deadline is March 30.

Summer Semester 2019 enrollment priority deadline

April 1

The application priority deadline is April 1 for classes beginning May 13. All documents must be received by April 15. Documents received after April 15 may result in financial aid not being available prior to the payment deadline for the Summer session.

For classes beginning June 26, the final application deadline is May 24. All documents must be received by June 7.

Fall Semester 2019 dual enrollment program final deadline

April 15

The final application deadline is April 15 for classes beginning Aug. 19. All documents must be received by April 30. Dual enrollment provides an opportunity for academically accelerated high school juniors and seniors to get a head start on college. Students may take college classes in lieu of high school classes and earn both high school and college credit simultaneously.
