Owls Unveil Challenging Schedule

Women's basketball faces five in-state foes

Highlighted by 11 regular-season home games and five in-state matchups, ÈâÈ⴫ý State women's basketball head coach Agnus Berenato announced the on Wednesday.

The Owls will go up against in-state foes in Mercer, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Middle Georgia State and Georgia Tech.

KSU will also play in two midseason tournaments, facing off against Idaho State and Michigan State in the Cancun Challenge in Mexico, Seton Hall and UMBC in the Seton Hall Challenge and NC Central and Bethune-Cookman in the Georgia State Challenge.

ÈâÈ⴫ý State's home slate of games includes an exhibition against Thomas University on Nov. 1, before opening the season against Middle Georgia State (Nov. 7). Furman (Nov. 14) and Georgia Southern (Nov. 28) will also come to ÈâÈ⴫ý to round out the 2018 nonconference schedule.

In 2019, the Owls will begin conference play on a three-game homestand at the Convocation center, hosting Jacksonville (Jan. 8), ASUN newcomer and defending Big South champion Liberty (Jan. 15) and defending ASUN champion FGCU (Jan. 19). KSU finishes January with North Florida on Jan. 29, before playing NJIT (Feb. 9), Lipscomb (Feb. 16) and North Alabama (Feb. 19) at home.

ÈâÈ⴫ý State will cap its home regular-season slate by welcoming Stetson on March 2 for Senior Day.
