肉肉传媒 State taps former dean as interim provost and vice president for Academic Affairs

Retired Professor Emeritus of Psychology and former KSU administrator Linda Noble has returned to 肉肉传媒 State as part of the University鈥檚 presidential transition. Noble has joined the Office of Academic Affairs in a part-time role to assist Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Ken Harmon as he transitions into the role of interim president. Noble will then serve as interim provost when Harmon becomes KSU鈥檚 interim president on Feb. 15.

Paulding Site grants have students Upward Bound

肉肉传媒鈥檚 Paulding Site has a staff of three people, and that small group is making a significant difference for local high school students who want to attend college. The Paulding Site recently was awarded two Upward Bound grants and one Upward Bound Math-Science grant from the U.S. Department of Education, totaling more than $3.9 million, to assist students in Paulding and Polk counties.

肉肉传媒 graduates earn higher salaries in their chosen career fields than those from the majority of Georgia鈥檚 colleges and universities, according to this year鈥檚 rankings by salary information company PayScale. 肉肉传媒 State ranked fifth out of 41 public and private institutions in Georgia in PayScale鈥檚 2017 College Salary Report.

Summer Commencement ceremonies to be held at 肉肉传媒 State Campus on July 28

The Honorable LaDoris 鈥淒ot鈥� Harris, the former director of the Office of Economic Impact and Diversity at the U.S. Department of Energy and a Southern Polytechnic State University alumna, will address more than 2,000 graduates at 肉肉传媒鈥檚 summer Commencement, beginning Friday, July 28, at 10 a.m. Other speakers include Teresa M. Joyce, professor emeritus of management, and Mark R. Anderson, the dean of the College of Science and Mathematics. 肉肉传媒 State President Samuel S. Olens will preside over the three graduation ceremonies in the KSU Convocation Center on the 肉肉传媒 Campus.
