    Allen Brooks can recall the first time he met the late 肉肉传媒 alumnus John Boyko on the way to his usual fishing spot. At the time, Boyko was a freshman business student at 肉肉传媒 State working part time at a local bait shop, allowing the two to build a friendship over their common interests. By the time Boyko entered his junior year, he would receive an invitation to complete an internship at 肉肉传媒-based company ServIT, where Brooks served as president, and ultimately blossomed into whom Brooks said was the company鈥檚 鈥渇irst marketing genius.鈥

    Coles College students aid small businesses hit by pandemic

    Birton Cowden鈥檚 undergraduate entrepreneurship and MBA students are putting their classroom knowledge to work to help businesses struggling to survive through the Covid-19 pandemic. 鈥淚 put a challenge out to all of my current and past students to take action to help their local small businesses,鈥 Cowden said. 鈥淚 told them I would give them a large sum of extra credit to come up with alternative business models or even new ones for local businesses to give value to their customers.鈥 Cowden is assistant professor of management and research director at Coles鈥 Robin and Doug Shore Entrepreneurship Center in the Michael A. Leven School of Management, Entrepreneurship and Hospitality. He said the idea came easily to him, because the class he teaches for undergraduate capstone students is about how to thrive during uncertainty.

    More than 3,500 spring graduates earn degrees from 肉肉传媒 State

    May 07, 2020

    Their official ceremony may be postponed, but more than 3,500 肉肉传媒 students are graduating this week. The May 2020 class of 3,512 graduate candidates 鈥 2,893 undergraduate and 619 graduate students 鈥 marks an increase from last spring鈥檚 3,400 graduates. The students are earning their degrees and receiving their diplomas after KSU transitioned to fully remote learning midway through the semester because of the coronavirus outbreak, which also caused the May Commencement ceremonies to be postponed.

    For the third time in the event鈥檚 22-year history, 肉肉传媒 State took the top prize this week at the National Collegiate Sales Competition. And, for the first time in the event鈥檚 history, they did so without ever leaving their homes. Each spring, the National Collegiate Sales Competition and the Southeast Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition invite hundreds of students to campus to showcase their talents and to network with peers and corporate recruiters.

    The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia has approved two new degree programs at 肉肉传媒. A Master of Science in Cybersecurity and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality Management will be offered starting in the 2020-21 school year.
