Impacting Lives: The History of the Bagwell College of Education

In 2018, the Department of Museums, Archives & Rare Books curatorial team created an exhibit narrating the history of the Bagwell School of Education. The exhibit features images from the University Archives and Special Collections and is on permanent display on the second floor of the Bagwell Education Building.

The Michael Coles Story

In 2018, MARB curated , in the Coles College of Business illustrating the life and accomplishments of Dr. Michael J. Coles. This exhibit features materials from the  in the University Archives and Special Collections and is located on the first floor of the Burruss Building.

 

Two Schools, One University

During the 2019-2020 academic year, the Department of Museums, Archives and Rare Books curated Two Schools, One University: The History of ÈâÈ⴫ý and Southern Polytechnic State University. Located in both the Johnson Library on the Marietta campus and Sturgis Library on the ÈâÈ⴫ý campus, this exhibit documents the unique histories of KSU and SPSU until their consolidation in 2015. The exhibit includes informative panels, timelines, and artifacts courtesy of the University Archives and Special Collections. The exhibit will be permanently on view in both locations, although artifacts will be added and changed periodically.

Paul Radow: Life of Innovation, Legacy of Service

In 2018, the Department of Museums, Archives and Rare Books curated the exhibit, Paul Radow: Life of Innovation, Legacy of Service, which explores the legacy of engineer Paul Radow, whose innovations enhanced Levi Strauss’ pants pockets and contributed to NASA’s Apollo program. The exhibit is on permanent display in the Engineering Technology Center on ÈâÈ⴫ý’s Marietta campus.
