CPR Certification

  • The following recommended* contacts are approved for instructing the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider (CPR and AED) Program.


    *This is not a mandatory list

    CPR cards obtained at the Owls Nest or through the Center of Health Promotion and Wellness do not meet the requirements for Nursing Students.

    Front and Back copy of your CPR card is due by documentation deadline for submission to ACEMAPP.  

Health Insurance for Clinical

The Board of Regents has mandated United Healthcare as the Health Insurance provider for ÈâÈ⴫ý. This insurance is not meant to be in addition to any current insurance, but rather to be in lieu of any current insurance which does not meet the current minimum requirements for coverage. Information about the requirements set forth by the BOR can be found on the .

If you already have insurance and want to remain with your provider, you may request a waiver once the insurance fee has been charged to your KSU account. Please go to the  website and fill out the waiver request information. They will send you an email indicating whether the waiver is granted or not, they should contact KSU and begin adjusting the insurance fees charged to your KSU account.

If you do not already have insurance, please also go to the United Healthcare website and set up an account. You can review coverage options and click to enroll through their website:
