Students completing the Double Owl program will be well-positioned for doctoral programs and diverse employment opportunities at private and public institutions. Potential career pathways include but are not limited to natural resource management, biomedicine, basic and applied research, and education.

Double Owl Admission Requirements

  • GPA: 3.00 in KSU undergraduate coursework
  • 60 hours completed toward Bachelor's degree
  • 12 hours completed in residence at KSU
  • Recommendation from 2 KSU faculty
  • Letter of commitment/support from a faculty member affiliated with the MSIB program indicating their willingness to serve as faculty mentor for the student.

Double Counted Courses

  • BIOL 7200 to count for Upper Level Elective
  • BIOL 7100 to count for Upper Level Elective
  • BIOL 7990 to count for BIOL 4400

Suggested Timeline

Apply to Double Owl early in Junior year. Apply to Graduate Program in Senior Year by posted graduate program deadline.

Accepted Double Owl students will need to apply to their Graduate Program by the posted deadline for the semester immediately following graduation with the Bachelors degree.
